It is over three weeks since the mainstream media (MSM) announced that Joe Biden and the Democrats won the elections. They seized on the opportunity to parade their man as the winner, despite ongoing litigation and without certification of the election results. It was clearly a calculated strategy, because announcing the winner sets a narrative which might be hard to overturn but not impossible.

The media’s anti-Trump narrative should not be a surprise to any fair-minded person.  It is consistent with what Americans and the world have gotten used to throughout the Trump presidency.  Following the 2016 election, the media ran with the Mueller investigation in lockstep with the Democrats. What followed was two years of partisan investigation, followed at every turn by the media, who were hungry to find fault in the new President.  Without any questioning of the process, the MSM put forward the unambiguous message that he was guilty. Given the intensity and length of the probe, which by the way was packed full of Democrats, if President Trump had broken the law, they would have found it. Instead, he was found not guilty of collusion. Right of the back of that, the Democrats, again in the groove with the MSM, turned their attention to the next attempt, Impeachment.

Again, there was no questioning from the media about the facts of their impeachment case; they gave the Democrats their full support. The MSM accepted that there was a whistleblower who had detailed information about a telephone call between Trump and the Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, despite the whistleblower having links to key Democrats. They relished the opportunity to again go after Trump to bring him down. This is even though there was little evidence of wrongdoing, and as legal analyst Jonathan Turley highlighted in his testimony to the proceedings, he felt that the Democrats rush to push this through was politically motivated.

All of this got a free pass from the media, but ultimately Trump was exonerated in the Senate. Another process, which had taken away precious time from other important matters and cost significant money. None of these matters to the MSM, if they can maintain the rhetoric that Trump should not be president.

The events happening now are therefore no surprise, given their bias against Trump over the past few years. However, this is going further than they have even gone before, in that they took it upon themselves to announce the result of the election. Not to report on the result, but to announce it. However, they are not the ultimate arbiter of these decisions, and their behavior around the election result amounts to intimidation not just of the US, but the whole world. They hope that Trump supporters will just back down and give up the fight, despite legal challenges in key states, and significant irregularities for which no explanation has been given.

The Democrats are parading that they won a mandate, and the media are supporting this view, but the vote did not play out in that way. There was no landslide. More people participated in the vote than in any other election, and in fact more people voted for Trump than for Obama in 2008. ‘The Republicans held the Senate and enjoyed a ‘red wave’ in the House, where they gained seats while winning all 27 toss-up contests. Trump’s party did not lose a single state legislature and actually made gains at the state level’, as discussed by Patrick Basham in The Spectator.

Basham outlines some other irregularities which are indeed very puzzling. Trump earned the highest share of minority votes for a Republican since 1960 and grew his support among black voters by 50 percent above that from the last election. By contrast Biden’s black support fell to a level below which Democratic candidates usually lose; he received 80% of the black vote, compared to 82% for Clinton in 2016, and 95% for Obama. In the Rust Belt, there was a swing towards Trump. ‘Yet, Biden leads in Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin because of an apparent avalanche of black votes in Detroit, Philadelphia, and Milwaukee.’ So, Biden’s ‘winning’ margin was derived almost entirely from black voters in these cities, which means there was a spike in the black Democrat vote only in the exact locations needed to secure victory.

The evidence being brought by the Trump team shows with more clarity that something is amiss across these key swing states. As the margins in some of the battlegrounds including Pennsylvania, Georgia, Michigan and Wisconsin, are razor thin, any court action could potentially have significant impact. The reports of irregularities and voter fraud are backed up by numerous affidavits, from people who would be risking perjury if they were found to have been dishonest. According to former federal prosecutor Sidney Powell, the supposed software glitches were likely deliberate. She also said they have “so much evidence” to prove voter fraud, “I feel like it’s coming in through a fire hose.”

Rick Hanson, a registered Democrat of 30 years and former Oregon state elections official recounted on Twitter some of the key areas of the Georgia filing by Sidney Powell. He summarized that the absence of a secure log for the computer software used in the ballot counting should be enough to negate the results as this was such a basic need for a system such as this. Furthermore, the receipt of absentee ballots in their return envelopes was not recorded, which is needed to avoid ballot box stuffing, and make sure there is one ballot per person.  Signatures were also not verified against the voter registrations on the return envelopes. Essentially, there was a second election being held by mail without accountability to then reconcile what happens at the polls. Additionally, observers were not allowed at either the count or recount, which is completely indefensible. One initial area of progress in Georgia is that following an emergency motion by the Republican nominees to the Electoral College, a district judge has blocked three Georgia counties from altering or erasing data on Dominion voting machines.

So far, the court cases have not been successful, but ultimately Trump will hope for an appeal to the Supreme Court, to resolve the issue. This alongside presenting the evidence to the state legislatures in these swing states, who need to certify the results of the elections; they will need to consider the accuracy of the results which have been called.

The main issue with this election was the significant level of mail in ballots, and as said above, without the required systems in place to ensure a fair and legal system. In the UK, to vote by mail, you must request it, without exception. It is a process which is tightly controlled and monitored on an annual basis by the electoral commission, and if you vote by mail, you cannot then vote in person. This preserves the integrity of the one person, one vote system. However, in the US elections and in some states, the Democrats campaigned vigorously for mail in ballots to be sent to every adult in each household without the obligatory request for it and, without the regulation needed to ensure accuracy. The Labour party in the UK have caught onto the events in America, and are suggesting that we should follow the same system, as a way for the left to gain some advantage. However, given the problems of this election, that would be foolhardy and never would be accepted in the UK anyway. One can only hope at least that the US Supreme Court will instruct that this mess needs to be sorted out, so that it cannot happen again.

Turley, in his blog post ‘Pulling a Rosie Ruiz: the risky business of calling American Presidential elections’, suggested that the reports of fraud so far indicate that whilst ‘there is currently no evidence of systemic fraud in the election…. there is ample reason to conduct reviews.’ He feels that Biden should take the lead on this process and encourage the Democrats to embrace this.

Turley is right in that the Democrats should welcome the investigation into the election, especially if their hands are clean.  This was a closely fought race and people deserve an accurate result which reflects the truth about how they voted. Such reports of fraudulent activities used to be commonplace in some parts of Africa, until just over a decade ago when systems were changed to biometric voting system, providing voter ID and ensuring one man one vote. Given what has happened in the US, perhaps such processes should be introduced there. The Democrats have been resisting the use of voter ID, but this would help to ensure the integrity of the process. Then people know who is voting, and you cannot vote twice.

It beggars belief that in the presence of mounting evidence, the MSM is pretending there is nothing to see. Their intimidation of America right now is quite breathtaking, with constant dismissal and jibing at efforts to uncover the truth. Even big tech, Facebook, Twitter have resorted to questioning nearly every other posts including Trump’s, which questions the integrity of the elections; Americans, including the President should not be censored in this way for trying to ensure the fairness of the election process.

Notice, too, how quiet the media are about the lack of rioting and protests now in America. No doubt the Democrats will unleash the chaos of the rioters, should Trump manage to start rectifying the outcome of this election, and the courts start to rule in his favour. That is all part of the strategy, to create chaos and blame it on Trump.

We all know that Trump is a litigious man, and also a fighter, and just like with the Russia hoax, and the impeachment debacle, we know that he doesn’t give up, even when it looks like he is out for the count. If these allegations do gain some traction in the courts, and significant evidence is found, in time ahead of the electoral college meeting, then we could yet see a different result. For now, and most importantly the country should be united in fully investigating the reported problems, to ensure fairness and legality in the world’s greatest democracy.
